Corrections Policy
Effective: July 27, 2026.
PromptInk accepts reports about factual errors, unsupported claims, outdated sources, incorrect attribution, broken links, rights issues, and wording that materially misleads a reader.
How to submit a correction
Email hello@promptink.net with the subject “Correction request.” Include the URL, exact passage, reason it is wrong or misleading, proposed correction, and a reliable source when available.
How reports are evaluated
We compare the claim with the cited source, current primary documentation, available publication records, and the context of the page. A disagreement of opinion is not automatically a factual error, but an opinion must not be presented as measured fact. A claim that cannot be supported may be removed even when its truth cannot be disproved conclusively.
Types of changes
- Minor edit: spelling, grammar, formatting, or a link update that does not change the meaning.
- Clarification: wording is revised to distinguish opinion, illustration, uncertainty, or scope.
- Material correction: a factual statement, number, attribution, conclusion, or disclosure is changed. The page should note the correction when a reasonable reader would need that context.
- Removal or archive: the evidence is unavailable, the subject cannot be maintained responsibly, or the page no longer meets the editorial standard.
Urgent issues
Reports involving privacy, impersonation, security, copyright, child safety, or a risk of significant harm should say so in the subject line and explain the urgency. Content may be temporarily removed while the issue is assessed.
No silent restoration of unsupported claims
A removed performance, identity, or product claim will not be restored merely because it sounds plausible. Restoration requires evidence appropriate to the claim under the editorial policy.
